Zygo Purchase

Background
This contract is a sole source requirement for the procurement of a ZYGO NEWVIEW 9000 upgrade to existing equipment at NASA. The objective is to enhance metrology capabilities for measuring micrometeoroid impacts on space telescopes, which are critical for future missions, including the Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO). The upgrade will provide improved dynamic stability and survivability against micrometeoroid impacts.

Work Details
The contract includes the following items to be delivered:
1. **Part #6311-0908-01**: NV6000 to NV9000 Profiler Series Upgrade - 1 unit
- Upgrades existing NewView 6000 series optical profiler to NewView 9000 series.
- Features include high-performance closed-loop piezo scanning transducer, vertical scan speeds up to 171 um/sec, high-speed digital camera (1.9 MP), automated motorized image zoom, and a Core Ultra i7 System Controller.
- Reuses existing gantry, base platform, vibration isolation, workstation, objectives, and standards; new zoom tubes and turret required.

2. **Part #6300-0239-53**: Peripheral Kit for Zygo Metrology Systems - 1 unit
- Includes a 27-inch monitor, keyboard, mouse, and signal cable.

3. **Part #6308-0105-02**: Manual Encoded 4-position objective turret - 1 unit
- For ZeGage Pro, Nexview and NewView 8000/9000 ONLY; must be replaced for upgrades.

4. **Part #6300-0522-02**: 0.5X Field Zoom Lens for NewView and NexView - 1 unit
- Multiplies magnification of used objective by 0.5.

5. **Part #6300-0526-02**: 2.0X Field Zoom Lens for NewView and NexView - 1 unit
- Multiplies magnification of used objective by 2.0.

6. **Airfare (AF)**: For US service installations - 1 unit
- Actual airfare invoiced upon completion of service.

7. **Travel and Zone charges (Z-3)**: On-Site Service - ZONE 3 - 1 unit
- For on-site service excluding airfare.

8. **FLD LABOR**: Hourly Rate for Zygo On-Site Labor - 16 hours
- Standard hourly rate for installation work at customer facility covering installation of upgrade onto NewView 6300 system.

9. **CERTIFICATE**: Certificate of Calibration - 1 unit
- Physical certificate processed after system certification using ISO-17025 traceability.

Period of Performance
8-10 weeks after receipt of order (ARO) plus an additional 3-4 weeks for installation.

Bidder Requirements
The bidder must be an authorized distributor or OEM for Zygo products to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
