Zambia Integrating National Supply Chain Information for Greater Health Transparency (INSIGHT)   2

Background
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Zambia is initiating the Integrating National Supply Chain Information for Greater Health Transparency (INSIGHT) project. This initiative aims to enhance public sector health supply chain information systems in Zambia, ensuring sustainable and equitable access to safe, effective, quality-assured, and affordable health commodities.

The project is designed to improve data visibility, strengthen demand planning, optimize operations, and promote the appropriate use of health products through a fully functioning Supply Chain Control Tower.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for several key tasks under the INSIGHT project:

1. Installation and Maintenance of eLMIS Facility Edition (FE):
- Install the eLMIS FE system in an additional 1,250 health facilities.
- Ensure continuous maintenance and optimization of the eLMIS system in 1,700 previously deployed facilities.
- Support training for staff on system usage and technical maintenance.

2. Integration of SmartCarePro with eLMIS FE across 2,950 health facilities to enable informed supply chain decision-making.

3. Development of a comprehensive governance structure for Supply Chain Control Tower.

4. Integration of eLMIS with Warehousing Management Systems at ZAMMSA.

The contractor must also engage with local stakeholders to secure ongoing funding for long-term sustainability and transition key activities to government management.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to have a maximum performance period of five years, commencing on or about May 5, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in various locations across Zambia.
