Zambia Integrated HIV and Health Activity - Amendment #2   3

Background
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Zambia is seeking proposals from qualified entities to provide integrated health services and capacity building. The purpose of USAID Zambia Integrated Health is to improve health outcomes of Zambians through equitable access to high-quality, client-centered HIV, TB/HIV, MNCH, and FP/RH services, products, and information, and to strengthen the integration of services when applicable. These services will reduce mortality, morbidity, and HIV transmission for focus subpopulations in Northwestern, Copperbelt, and Central provinces, contributing to long, healthy, and productive lives.

Work Details
The Contractor must build upon the achievements and milestones Zambia has achieved to control the HIV epidemic. The Contractor must increase access to and utilization of quality, integrated health services for clients as well as increase capacities of the Provincial and District Health Offices to provide integrated health services. The Contractor must initially operate in Northwest, Copperbelt, and Central Provinces but specific locations will change and could be anywhere in Zambia. The Contractor must concentrate resources on focus districts, target diseases-specific burdens, and provide significant, measurable, and lasting impact on health outcomes and key indicators across HIV, TB/HIV, FP/RH and MNCH while meeting the psychosocial needs of PLHIV especially women, AGYW and children and adolescents.

Period of Performance
The USAID anticipates the award of a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Completion Type contract for a maximum five (5) year period.

Place of Performance
Northwestern, Copperbelt, and Central provinces in Zambia.
