Background

Work Details

The scope includes replacing main domestic water distribution lines, structurally reinforcing the main booster pump house, and constructing a security gate for the booster pump house.

Special attention will be required for phasing and coordinating water shutdowns to minimize impacts on hospital operations. The contractor will perform various construction tasks including architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing work, site investigation, and testing/special inspection services. A detailed containment plan for infection control and hazmat control must be provided. Safety measures must be enforced throughout the project duration to protect patients and staff. The contractor is responsible for site safety and must ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Period of Performance
The total period of performance is 340 calendar days from the Construction Full Notice to Proceed (NTP), which will be issued at the time of award.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84148 on the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus.
