Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Northern California Health Care System is issuing a task order proposal request for construction services to correct entrance access and parking at the Sacramento VA Medical Center in Mather, CA. The project aims to improve accessibility and infrastructure within the medical center campus.

Work Details
The project involves modifications to concrete sidewalks, walkways, ADA ramps, parking lots, roadways, roundabouts, crosswalks, hardscapes, landscaping, drainage systems, signage, and roadway markings. Electrical site lighting will be installed as required by the drawings and specifications. The work includes demolition and removal of existing systems and structures.

Construction tasks are divided into two phases primarily during normal working hours with limited off-hours for noise abatement and utility shutdowns. Contractors must provide dumpsters for debris disposal and submit waste reports including weights of waste and recycled materials. Infection control procedures must be adhered to according to VA guidelines. Third-party inspections are required for structural concrete, electrical systems, and low voltage systems.

Period of Performance
The work shall be completed in a maximum of 150 days including pre-construction activities and post-construction testing.
