REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A FIRM FIXED PRICE SITE PREP CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENT IDIQ TYPE CONTRACT.

Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 (VISN 17) is procuring Construction services from construction firms capable of providing construction services on an as-needed basis for high-tech, high-cost medical equipment site preparation. This requirement will be a multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.

The contractor shall provide all construction services necessary to prepare a site for installation of high-tech, high-cost medical equipment. Site preparation construction shall be in close adherence with equipment manufacturer's installation specifications, shop drawings, and instructions.

The anticipated IDIQ contract(s) will consist of a base period of one (1) year from the date of award and four (4) one-year option periods. The magnitude of construction is between $20,000,000 and $50,000,000.

The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 238390 Other Building Finishing Contractors. The US Small Business Administration Size Standard is $19 Million.

A site visit is scheduled for January 7, at 09:30 AM (CT) for the seed project. Meet at Bldg 46E, Olin Teague VA, Temple TX. (See FAR Clause 52.236-27) for address.

Background

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all construction services necessary to prepare a site for the installation of high-tech medical equipment. This includes demolition and construction operations, construction quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and testing and certification of installed building service equipment.

Typical tasks may involve renovating existing spaces to accommodate new equipment installations while adhering to strict infection control measures and minimizing operational impacts on patient care. The work will be performed in response to government-issued task orders and change orders at various healthcare systems within VISN 17, including VA medical centers and outpatient clinics across Texas. Specific projects may include the renovation of MRI rooms with required upgrades to electrical, mechanical, IT systems, and other utilities as specified in the construction documents.

Place of Performance
Construction task orders will be performed at any of seven healthcare systems or their outpatient clinics located within their market area in Texas.
