The VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC (VAMC Fayetteville) has need for a firm to provide all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete Project 565-21-103, Build Out of Bldg. 72 at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in accordance with the plans and specifications. Complete the build out and new construction portions of Building 72 located at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. This will be a ten-bed patient building with ten individual rooms, open multipurpose space that has a kitchen and dining area and space for administrative staff. Drawings detailing some general existing conditions are included in the drawing set. The contractor shall provide all equipment, material, and labor required for the work as described in the plans and specifications per VA and industry construction standards. Work includes general construction for demolition, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and other work as described in the plans and specifications. Base bid shall include all items listed on the drawings and in the specifications. Deduct alternative as described in the specifications is for the medical gas system. This project requires the contractor to hire a 3rd party commissioning agent to handle all project required commissioining.as noted in 01 91 00 or in discipline specific specifications. Some systems might be in place either completely or partially, but the commissioning agent must verify all systems work as required upon completion of the project and prior to turn-over. This is a Pre-solicitation only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation which will have specific instructions and requirements associated with this procurement. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is June 6, 2023, with a bid opening on or about July 10, 2023. These are only tentative dates. The solicitation will have specific dates, times, and locations for the bid opening and site visit. The magnitude of construction per VAAR Part 836 is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This is a 100% SDVOSB set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a maximum small business size standard of $39.5 million.
