Background
The contract is for the modernization, replacement, or installation of elevators in 8 buildings at the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System campus in Leeds, Massachusetts. The project includes general construction, alterations, demolition, framing, ICRA, selective demolition, alterations, all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required work as described in the Construction Documents. The project will involve adding 2 new 3-stop elevators in two separate buildings and renovating and modernizing 6 existing elevators at the campus. The renovations include replacing worn out and outdated parts, controls and interior cab finishes at various buildings. Additionally, a new 3-stop elevator will be added to one building's interior and another to an exterior location.

Work Details
The work includes general construction tasks such as alterations, demolition, framing, ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment), selective demolition, and all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary for the project. It also involves the necessary removal of existing structures and construction of certain other items.
