Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, is seeking vendors to renovate the Catheterization Lab at the Fresno VA Medical Center. This project aims to enhance the facility's capabilities in providing medical services to veterans by modernizing approximately 10,200 square feet of the lab located on the second floor of the East Wing.

The renovation includes relocating existing medical equipment and reconfiguring various rooms to improve functionality and patient care.

Work Details
The scope of work includes: relocation of existing ultrasound and fluoroscopy equipment to a newly renovated imaging suite; reconfiguration of three radiology rooms, two ultrasound rooms, a patient restroom, staff work areas, communications closet, and electrical room; construction of a new ultrasound room; and comprehensive Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing work for all new and renovated spaces.

This entails demolition and installation of walls, floors, ceilings, lighting systems, power distribution systems, HVAC systems, and plumbing infrastructure. The contractor must also ensure compliance with safety standards and manage construction activities without disrupting ongoing clinical operations.

Period of Performance
730 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered as Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) at the time of submission. A bid bond is required in an amount not less than 20% of the total bid price. Performance and payment bonds will also be required from the successful bidder within ten days post-award. Contractors must comply with all local safety standards and provide evidence of relevant experience in similar projects.
