Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is undertaking a project to upgrade the electrical infrastructure at the Hershel 'Woody' Williams VA Medical Center located in Huntington, WV.

The purpose of this project is to address safety concerns arising from obsolete or overloaded electrical systems, ensuring compliance with current electrical and safety codes to provide a safe and reliable infrastructure for the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, supervision, excavation, demolition, project management, and construction services.

Key tasks include:
- Minor remodeling to support mechanical and electrical improvements.
- Correcting electrical room door swings for egress.
- Adding removable bollards in Warehouse BB110 and creating new electrical rooms in various buildings (e.g., RM GD111 and GA108A).
- Installing mechanical cooling systems in Building 23R.
- Upgrading the existing electrical infrastructure across multiple buildings by replacing obsolete panelboards and motor control centers.
- Installing load monitoring meters and surge-protective devices campus-wide.
- Upgrading the fire alarm system to comply with VA guidelines including replacing existing panels and integrating emergency communication systems.
- Ensuring compliance with VA standards throughout all construction activities.
