Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the Tuck Point and Seal project at the Ambulatory Care Addition of Building 1, located at the Columbia, Missouri VAMC. The goal of this contract is to perform necessary repairs and alterations to ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic quality of the facility, which serves veterans in need of medical care.

Work Details
The construction tasks under this contract include:
1. General Construction: The base bid encompasses all work required to execute plans and specifications for tuck pointing and sealing.
2. Bid Deduct No. 1: Omits roofing and gutter work, painting of carport structure, cleaning and sealing masonry at carport structure, and specific sealant joint types at the main entrance.
3. Bid Deduct No. 2: Further omits work above the 2nd floor, cleaning and sealing walls in select areas, specific sealant joint types, and weep hole work in designated areas.
4. Bid Deduct No. 3: Excludes roofing and gutter work of the west carport structure, painting, cleaning, sealing of the west carport structure, and specific sealant joint types for weeps in that area.
5. Bid Deduct No. 4: Omits sidewalk cleaning and sealing as well as concrete curb painting.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set from notice to proceed to closeout, totaling 300 calendar days.

Place of Performance
All construction projects will be performed at the Columbia VA Medical Center located in Columbia, Missouri.
