Remodel Emergency Department (ED) Observation Bed Fresno   3

Background
The Veterans Affairs Central California Healthcare System has a requirement to remodel the Emergency Department (ED) for Observation Beds as well as the upgrade of utilities (e.g., Air Handling Unit AHU). The acquisition is for FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Both a price proposal and a technical proposal are required. Bid bonds, payment bonds, and performance bonds shall be required under this solicitation and any resultant contract. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

Work Details
The project includes the replacement of AHU 3 and the subsequent mechanical system distribution associated with the Emergency Department. It also involves the renovation of the Observation Bed area of the Emergency department and adding new Treatment Rooms and support spaces as shown on the drawings. The contractor shall provide all necessary and required construction services to include tools, equipment, materials, labor, travel, project management, administrative support, contractor quality control, expertise, supervision, testing, analysis, and specialty services to accomplish all items and requirements outlined in this SOW. The work activities will be performed in a functioning hospital environment which will remain operational during the project duration.

Period of Performance
The Total Contract Duration is estimated at six hundred and fifty (650) days following Notice to Proceed.

The construction projects will be performed at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA 93703.
