Solicitation No. 36C26123R0043 Design-Build - Replace Interior Doors Building 200 San Francisco, CA VA Northern California Healthcare System Design-Build Service for Project No. 662-23-122 The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $45.0 M. IAW VAAR 836.204(f)(2), the magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This procurement is a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Public Law 109-461 is the final authority on SDVOSB Set Aside. Offerors must be verified in VIP at the time submission offer and prior to award. The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, administrative support, and any necessary professional engineering services required for the Design build effort IAW SOW, specifications, and drawings. Background
The San Francisco VA Medical Center requires the services of a qualified general contractor to execute the requirements of project 662-23-121, Replace Interior Doors – Building 200. This requirement is limited to the direct replacement of existing interior doors and related hardware. The areas of work are in Building 200 occurring on Ground, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor. Replacements are required to occur within a single day to include demolition of existing and reinstallation of new.
Close coordination is required with VA staff to minimize impact to operations as much of these doors exist in an operating clinical environment.

Work Details
The project involves replacing interior doors and related hardware in Building 200 at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. The replacement materials include door slabs, mortise locksets, hinges, closures, and crash hardware. Kickplates and glazing, where salvageable, are approved for reuse. Specific specifications sections are provided however the VA standard master specifications are the standards from which any other sections would emanate. The contractor is required to develop any other specification sections that may be required to lend sufficient detail to the requirement. They also need to provide floor plans to identify individual doors, numerically or otherwise to correspond to phasing plan and schedule. Additionally, they must submit products for review and approval from the VA.
