Project 671A4-22-172 Replace Med Air and Vacuum System   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (NCO 17) is issuing this solicitation for Project # 671A4-22-172, which involves the removal and replacement of the Medical Air and Vacuum Systems at the Kerrville VA Medical Center.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the medical air and vacuum systems meet or exceed current specifications, thereby supporting the mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to veterans.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, transportation, tools, equipment, supervision, and construction services necessary to complete the project.

Specific tasks include:
1. Removal of existing Medical Air and Vacuum Systems.
2. Installation of two new skids—one for medical air and one for vacuum systems—in the mechanical space on the basement floor.
3. Investigation of all lines on current systems for proper connections and leaks, with a report on findings.
4. Compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, or directives during construction.
5. Coordination with ongoing projects at the site to minimize disruption.

The contractor must also ensure that all work meets or exceeds the scope outlined in the contract specifications and VA standards.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is set for 180 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP), which will be issued following completion of security and badging processes.

Place of Performance
The construction work will be performed at Kerrville VA Medical Center located at 3600 Memorial Blvd., Kerrville, TX 78028.
