Fort Harrison MT- Bldg. 141 Admin Parking Lot Chip and Seal Project: 160-010-01   3

Background
The VA Montana Healthcare System requires the services of a qualified General Contractor to provide services for the application of crack and chip seal treatment of the Bldg 141 Admin asphalt parking lot. The Contractor shall also be responsible for all damages to persons or property that occurs as a result of the Contractor’s fault or negligence. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, materials, equipment, vehicles, tools, parts, labor, transportation, and miscellaneous items needed to successfully complete contracted tasks and option items.

Work Details
The project scope includes crack and chip seal treatment of the Bldg 141 Admin asphalt parking lot. The work involves crack sealing and chip sealing in accordance with specific FHWA Standard Specifications. It also includes restriping, traffic control plan and traffic control for the duration of the project. The contractor is required to provide necessary submittals and plans for approval prior to commencing with any 'new work' not shown/provided in the construction documents.

Period of Performance
Contract time will be 30 days. Contract time begins on the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and runs until the appropriate number of calendar day’s elapse.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Bldg 141 Admin asphalt parking lot.
