Work includes complete construction and activation of a new Electronic Health Record Modernization system. The scope of this project is to replace the campus main computer room, upgrade and replace telecommunications closets, and upgrade campus fiber and data cable. Project Building locations include 1, 4, 7, 6/8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 26, 28, 29, 33, 34, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 48, 49, 53, 54 and the site.

The project includes, but is not limited to, the following infrastructure improvements: Electrical (electrical panel upgrade, power (normal, emergency)), Bonding, UPS, Building Management System interfaces, assess for new and upgrades to existing HVAC, reconfiguration, expansion and renovation of existing space (demo, new construction, finishes), communication infrastructure (new Data outlets, patch panels, upgrade to Cat 6A cable) in buildings as necessary, construct exterior shell space to existing buildings for new telecommunication rooms (site work, demolition, shell space, finishes, plumbing, lighting), physical security upgrades, construct diversified path for WAN, assess and upgrade fiber infrastructure backbone campus wide within buildings and between buildings, hazardous material abatement.

The period of performance shall be 548 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a contract for the complete construction and activation of a new Electronic Health Record Modernization system. The goal of this project is to enhance the technological infrastructure necessary for improved healthcare delivery within the agency's facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the following construction tasks and types of projects: replacement of the campus main computer room, upgrades and replacements of telecommunications closets, and enhancements to campus fiber and data cable.

Specific infrastructure improvements include: electrical panel upgrades, normal and emergency power systems, bonding, UPS installation, interfaces with Building Management Systems, assessment and upgrades to existing HVAC systems, reconfiguration and renovation of existing spaces (including demolition, new construction, and finishes), communication infrastructure improvements (such as new data outlets, patch panels, and upgrades to Cat 6A cable), construction of exterior shell space for new telecommunication rooms (including site work, demolition, shell space creation, finishes, plumbing, lighting), physical security upgrades, construction of diversified paths for WAN connectivity, assessment and upgrade of fiber infrastructure campus-wide within buildings and between buildings, as well as hazardous material abatement.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is 548 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at various building locations on the campus including buildings numbered 1, 4, 7, 6/8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 26, 28, 29, 33, 34, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 48, 49, 53, and 54.
