Building 170 Warehouse Upgrades - 436-23-123   2

Background
The VA Montana Healthcare System requires the services of a qualified General Contracting firm to provide construction services at the Fort Harrison Campus of the Montana VA Health Care System, located at 3687 Veterans Drive, Fort Harrison, MT 59636.

Work Details
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following improvements:

- Remove existing 6’8” x 6’8” double door assembly and frame.
- Remove existing metal exterior siding to accommodate new roll up door size.
- Demolish existing interior wall to accommodate new roll up door size (drywall, studs, etc.).
- Remove all affected electrical, data, fire alarm system, etc. that will interfere with the size of the new roll up door. Items to be relocated at the discretion of the COR.
- Install government furnished roll up door, 6’8” x 8’ (Brand is Wayne Dalton, Model is 16043794 - 1).
- Install power head, to be compatible with roll up door. Ensure power head can be manually operated as an alternate function, in case of power failure or malfunction.
- Install new electrical conduit and cable for new power door.
- Remove existing metal siding to accommodate new man door.
- Demolish existing interior wall to accommodate new man door (drywall, studs, etc.).
- Remove all affected electrical, data, fire alarm system, etc. that will interfere with the new man door. Items to be relocated at the discretion of the COR.
- Install new man door. Door to be of metal construction and include a large security glass window for viewing dock leveler operation from inside Building 170.
- Reroute all affected electrical, data, fire alarm system, etc.
- Frame, drywall, mud, tape, paint, and seal around the new man door and roll up door on the interior. New construction shall match surrounding finishes unless indicated otherwise.
- Install metal siding on the exterior. Construction shall match surrounding finishes unless indicated otherwise.
- Install eight (8) bollards for wall and door protection. Bollards shall be surface mounted to the concrete floor, four (4) bollards at each opening. Bollards shall be rated to withstand forklift/pallet truck impact. See provided schematic drawings for additional information.
- Repair and seal concrete floor cracks in Room 105.
- Paint the floor with an epoxy-based paint, include anti-skid additive in Room 105.
- Install new caution floor adhesive around existing equipment in Room 105.
- Install new coil packs into AHU to provide cooling to Building 170.
- Install/update control unit on building louvers to optimize conditions inside Building 170
- Remove existing 3hp fan and air box inside existing AHU to install new components in the same space
- Install new cooling condenser unit outside the south side of the Bldg. On a housekeeping pad. Coordinate with COR for final placement.
- Install 1 Trane Performance Climate Changer (CSAA) or approved equal.
- Install 1Trane Odyssey System Outdoor Unit or approved equal.

Period of Performance
This contract is expected to start upon Notice to Proceed (NTP) and be completed within 60 calendar days of issuance.
