Background
The scope of work involves renovating the 9th Floor Mental Health Unit of the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Facility. The project aims to provide in-patient mental health treatment and follows VA Mental Health Guidelines. The renovation will consist of four phases, with demolition of plumbing, heating, electrical, walls, floors, ceiling, windows, and doors. Additionally, the project includes the creation of office space for VA staff in Building #17 and an outside area for patients on the Eastside of the 9th floor.

Work Details
The construction tasks include providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required for the renovation. This encompasses structural work for a new outside area on the 9th floor, plumbing and fire protection work in compliance with VA Codes and Standards, electrical work including Information Technology installation and security systems such as PIV security and fire alarm systems. The project also involves demolition work as per the provided drawings.
