657-21-114JC - Correct HVAC Systems for VHA Directive 1116.2, JC   3

Background
The VA St. Louis Health Care System, specifically the John Cochran Division, is seeking a Construction Contractor to repair and/or replace various HVAC systems in accordance with VHA Directive 1116.2.

The goal of this project is to ensure that the HVAC systems within Sterile Processing System’s Reusable Medical Equipment storage rooms meet current VHA HVAC Design Criteria. This project involves multiple floors within the main hospital building.

Work Details
The work includes:
- Coordination of disconnection and removal of existing HVAC components.
- Coordination of reconnection and placement of new HVAC components.
- Maintenance of existing HVAC requirements in occupied spaces during construction.
- Abatement of hazardous materials.
- Finishing the space for patient care.
- General construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures, and associated appurtenances as required for completion.

All work must comply with the solicitation/contract specifications and drawings, as well as applicable VA TIL and local/national codes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 550 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be conducted at the John Cochran VA Medical Center located at 915 N Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63106.
