Background
The solicitation is for the Construction Project 589A7-21-700 Electronic Health Records Management Infrastructure Upgrades at the VA Wichita Health Care System. The scope of work includes preparing the project site, re-cabling the main hospital and associated buildings, replacing all telecommunications cable, outlets, and associated equipment, as well as adding new Computer Room Air-Conditioning split systems, electrical panels, transformers, and circuits.

Work Details
The contractor is required to prepare the project site for operations, including demolition and removal of existing site elements. The project involves re-cabling the main hospital and associated buildings at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Campus, including replacement of all telecommunications cable, outlets, and associated equipment for multiple buildings. The scope also includes replacement of all fiber optic cabling, conduit and providing new conduit, fiber and manholes serving the buildings' Telecommunications Rooms (TR). The project also includes replacement of ISP fiber WAN connection infrastructure. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for installing new patch panels, CAT6A cabling for end user devices, and providing new PACS devices, card readers, control panels, power supplies and associated electrical and low voltage service. The construction is to be performed in one phase during normal working hours as much as feasible.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is projected to be four-hundred twenty-five (425) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the VA Wichita Health Care System in Wichita, Kansas.
