Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation to expand the Sterile Processing Service Space at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to renovate and expand the Sterile Processing Unit and its support space to meet operational requirements, ensuring that the facility can continue to provide essential services in a safe and efficient manner.

Work Details
The work includes demolition, architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, hazardous material abatement, communications, patient call systems, medical gases installation, HVAC systems, and all necessary components for the complete renovation and expansion of the Sterile Processing Unit.

The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to perform the work as specified in the Scope of Work, Specifications, and Drawings included in this solicitation. Additionally, there will be a guarantee period service for inspection and maintenance of dumbwaiters for one year after completion.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be 660 days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Kansas City VA Medical Center located at 4801 Linwood Blvd., Kansas City MO 64128.
