Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Network Contracting Office 4, is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the flat roof on Building 57 at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the complete replacement of the flat roof on Building 57. Specific tasks include:
1. Full removal and replacement of the EPDM roofing, insulation, cants, and proper pitching to designated roof drains as per drawings.
2. Replacement of the exhaust fan on the EPDM flat roof and installation of new lightning protection.
3. Investigation and repair of any damage to concrete decking upon removal of the existing roof.
4. Filling in concrete penetrations through the roof deck with appropriate materials.
5. Replacement of all flashing at wall intersections with 16 oz. copper flashing.
6. Proper disposal of abandoned equipment as shown in drawings.
7. Ensuring safety measures are in place to prevent debris from falling during demolition.
8. Coordination with medical facility staff for safety during construction activities.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is set for 90 calendar days starting from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) registered in the SBA certification database.
