Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Request for Proposal for project 523A4-CSI-401, which involves site preparation for the installation of new equipment in the Cath Lab at the VA Medical Center located at 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary renovations and installations to facilitate advanced medical procedures within the facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Architect/Engineer (A/E) professional services and construction services for site preparation in the Cath Lab of Building #1. The scope of work includes:

1. Renovation of the room including removal of existing flooring, ceiling, sinks, casework, and doors.

2. Installation of new flooring, ceiling, casework, doors, sinks, lighting, and a patient lift system.

3. Installation of medical gas systems and lead line dividers.

4. Relocation of electrical work as necessary.

5. All work must adhere to the Statement of Work, Specifications, Drawings, and applicable Federal, State, and Local Codes. Strict noise and infection control measures must be followed during construction to ensure that existing life safety systems are not impaired.

Period of Performance
The total period of performance for both A/E and construction services is 310 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice-to-Proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the VA Medical Center located at 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
