Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing a single award Firm-Fixed-Price contract for Telecommunications and Data Drops work across various locations in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The primary responsibility of the VA Infrastructure Management Group is to install and maintain cabling systems that support telecommunications and local area networks (LANs). This contract aims to ensure that all installations meet ANSI/TIA/EIA standards and VA's specifications, facilitating effective communication infrastructure for the agency's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide supervision, labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, and travel necessary for the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure. The work includes:
1. Installation of Horizontal and Vertical cabling systems (copper & fiber) to support LAN closets, Video Teleconference (VTC), work area outlets, and Cable Television (CATV) outlets.
2. Management of Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC orders), which are estimated to comprise 70% of the workload.
3. New installations which are estimated to comprise 30% of the workload.
4. Compliance with all relevant industry standards including ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-D and others as specified in the solicitation.
5. Maintenance of a complete cable plant system that accommodates owner requirements for over ten years.

Period of Performance
Base Year plus four Option Years.
