Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this contract for headstone maintenance services at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. The mission of the National Cemetery Administration is to honor Veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the cemetery maintains high standards of appearance and care, reflecting the nation's respect for those interred there. The work must be performed with dignity and respect, acknowledging the significance of the cemetery as a final resting place.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, manpower, supervision, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to perform headstone maintenance services. Specific tasks include:

- Setting new initial upright headstones (up to 2,700 units)
- Setting replacement upright headstones (up to 2,100 units)
- Setting new initial flat markers (up to 8 units)
- Setting replacement flat markers (up to 75 units)
- Cleaning headstones (up to 30,000 units)
- Raising and realigning headstones (up to 2,000 units)
- Fine-tuning alignment of headstones (up to 30,000 units).

All work must comply with applicable directives and safety requirements from the Veterans Affairs and National Cemetery Administration.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with four one-year option periods available if exercised.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
