Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure Automatic Door Maintenance Services for the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of automated doors across multiple VA facilities, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and safety for patients and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive management, supervision, labor, parts, materials, tools, incidental engineering services, and transportation necessary for the inspection and maintenance of automated doors at three VAPAHCS locations:

- Palo Alto Division (3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA)
- Menlo Park Division (795 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA)
- Livermore Division (4951 Arroyo Road, Livermore, CA)

The services include:
- Monthly maintenance inspections of all automatic doors in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Verification of all safety systems functions and overall door performance.
- Cleaning of grease and lubricants from door exteriors.
- Submission of monthly service reports detailing inspections performed including door conditions and any deficiencies noted.
- Compliance with applicable codes and standards such as OSHA and NFPA regulations.
- Provision of a one-year warranty on all components installed under the contract.

Additionally, the contractor must have a minimum of five years' experience in similar work within healthcare or commercial facilities.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period starting from December 6, 2024 to December 5, 2025, with four optional one-year extensions available.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at three locations:

- Palo Alto Division (3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA)
- Menlo Park Division (795 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA)
