The roof demolition and new installation will consist of, but not limited to; removal of all the old roof shingles, nails, flashing/tin, underlayment, gutter apron, drip edge, and removing debris off site. Installation of the new roofing shingles, flashing, underlayment, and an ice and water barrier to the manufacturer s specifications, completed at the Fort Meade VA Health Care System at building 66. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable for this procurement is 238160 Roofing Contractors. Size Standard: $19.0 Million. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small-Business Set-Aside. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for the roof demolition and new installation at the Fort Meade VA Medical Center, specifically for Building 66. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roof shingles, which do not meet VA specifications, with VA-approved materials. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
