Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for services related to the removal, transportation, and proper disposal of grease and waste from grease traps located at the VA University Drive Pittsburgh and HJ Heinz campuses.
The goal is to comply with the Allegheny County Health Department's requirement for annual inspections and periodic waste removal to ensure proper function of the grease traps.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following services:
1. Mobilize to the site bi-monthly for waste removal of the grease traps at University Drive and quarterly for the Heinz campus.
2. Remove all lids on the pavement and replace them upon completion.
3. Pump and remove all contents from the 3,500-gallon grease trap at University Drive campus in parking lot #7 and the 1,500-gallon trap at the HJ Heinz campus outside of building 51.
4. Clean the interior of the traps to remove residual grease and solids.
5. Inspect the traps for any visible damage or operational issues and report findings.
6. Transport and dispose of all waste material in accordance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
7. Provide a service report and disposal manifest after each visit including date, hauler identification, and quantities via email.

Bidder Requirements
This opportunity is set aside for Small Business (Total SBA). Bidders must have personnel trained and certified in handling and transporting grease waste, comply with OSHA standards, local, state, and federal codes regarding environmental regulations.
