THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT for Replace Primary Substations, Transformer & Dual Primary Selective Switches at VAMC San Diego, CA Scope of Work Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), West Region, Vallejo, CA, will be issuing a solicitation as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Project No: 664-19-303, Project Title: Replace Primary Substations, Transformer & Dual Primary Selective Switches at the San Diego VA Health Care System (SDVAHCS), located at 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161. Scope of Work includes the contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, supervision and transportation as necessary to perform all work as described in the contract documents, approved plans and specification and the Scope of Work. The work involves the replacement/ retrofit/upgrade of primary electrical substations which have either reached the end of their useful life or are near it in Building #1 and Building #2. There are nine substations included in this Scope of Work located in these buildings. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. Project Magnitude is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The Government intends to issue this solicitation as a total service disabled veteran owned small business set - aside in accordance with public law 109-461 for an award of a firm fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation, subject to the AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. All bidders shall be registered on www.vetbiz.gov and https://SAM.gov prior to receiving a government contract award. The solicitation will be issued on/about July 22, 2022. Qualified contractors are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal conference / site visit. The exact date and further details shall be provided in the solicitation.
