DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Resolve Site Security Assessment Deficiencies as required by drawings and specifications. Before placement and installation of work subject to tests by testing laboratory retained by Department of Veterans Affairs, the Contractor shall notify the COR in sufficient time to enable testing laboratory personnel to be present at the site in time for proper taking and testing of specimens and field inspection. Such prior notice shall be not less than 15 workdays unless otherwise designated by the COR. All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access. All contractor activities shall be conducted in accordance with all applicable reference material on VA s Office of Construction and Facilities Management Technical Information Library (TIL). The Contractor shall conform to all applicable codes and regulations including but not limited to: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), The International Building Code, State and Federal Regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Life Safety code. Delivery of completed construction elements is required within 232 calendar days after the notice to proceed is issued. Project No./Title: Project: 516-19-102 BB -Resolve Site Security Assessment Deficiencies Work Location: C.W. Bill Young Medical Center, located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida. Estimated Target Completion Period: 232 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP) Magnitude of this project: Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 NAICS: 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (Size Standard is $39.5M) Product Service Code Z1DZ This solicitation will use the trade-off source selection process, providing the best value to the Government. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 08,2022. All information for this solicitation will be posted on the Contract Opportunities website at www.sam.gov. At the time of proposal submission, contractors must have current registration/certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov.
