SOLICITATION 36C25226B0005 AMENDMENT A0001 February 24, 2026 Project: Replace Condensate Lines Construction Project Number: 585-21-113 Location: Oscar G Johnson VAMC Hospital Amendment 0001 hereby incorporates the following clarifications/change(s) into the solicitation package. RFI Question and Responses RFI # CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS REFERENCE VA RESPONSE 1 To mitigate any potential complications with submitting a physical bid, either via mail or in person, would you consider changing the submission method to allow for electronic bids via email? Additionally, if this is to remain a mail or hand delivered bid submission, would you consider extending the bid opening to accommodate mailed submissions? With the bid being due on a Monday morning, mail in submissions would need to be sent out on the previous Friday. This leaves open the possibility for last minute changes to develop over the weekend that cannot be taken into consideration by contractors submitting via mail. No electronic submittal. Bid date has been extended to 3/26/2026. 2 Drawings page size appears as 8.5x11 Drawings should be 42x30 - See attached drawings. 3 Is there a survey available for the asbestos mentioned in the specifications. Will it be released with the drawings? 221 times with instructions A survey will be available upon start of the contract. An estimate of quantity is listed on the prints page MD101 4 If there are any site access requirements, preferred site visit windows, or points of contact for field coordination, please advise. See pages 1&6 of Solicitation 5 1. On page 346 of the Specification section 2.3-B #3-b A193 Bolt, A194 Nut, F436 Washer are listed in red. Are these A193 B7 bolts with A 194 Grade 2H Nut please? 2. On page 350 of the Specification section 2.7-D #2 States (Trap bodies steel) Would a Armstrong Em series inverted bucket trap meet your requirements? Or Is a Cast Iron Trap body acceptable like a Armstrong 800 series which we have used exclusively on past projects. 3. On Page 354 of the Specification section 3.2-H #1 States (Perform Radiographic Examination). Do you have a Radiographic Performance specification that is required to be meet? Or can we hydro test all work to 1.5 times operating pressure to meet the proof testing requirements as we have typically done on previous Oscar G Johnson projects? Pages 346. 350, and 354 Specification A survey will be available upon start of the contract.
