Replace and Correct Roof Building 44 504 Amarillo VAMC   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a presolicitation notice for the replacement and correction of the roof at Building 44, located within the Amarillo Veterans Health Care System (VAHCS).

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility meets current standards and provides a safe environment for operations. This project is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor will perform construction services to replace the roof of Building 44 at the Amarillo VAHCS.

The scope of work includes:
- Preparing the site for construction operations;
- Providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to upgrade fire alarm systems throughout the campus;
- Installing fire alarm initiating devices, monitoring devices, compartment controls, suppression controls, notification devices, and emergency elevator controls;
- Ensuring compliance with current standards as outlined in the Statement of Work, Specifications, and Drawings;
- Performing general construction tasks; plumbing work; low voltage electrical work; and thermal & moisture protection.

The contractor must field verify existing conditions and may need to perform some work outside of normal business hours due to continuous operations at the facility.

The construction projects will be performed at Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center, 6010 W Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo TX 79106.
