Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the construction project titled 'Replace AHU-05 in B406 and Add Humidification to B455' at the VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary construction services to enhance the HVAC systems in specified buildings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This project aims to improve the indoor air quality and comfort for patients and staff within the medical center.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other items necessary to complete the construction of this project as outlined in the specifications and drawings. The scope includes:
1. Replacement of Air Handling Unit (AHU-05) in Building 406.
2. Installation of humidification systems in Building 455.
3. All work must adhere to project specifications and drawings provided by the VA.
4. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all work is completed within 336 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed (NTP) if no bid alternates are exercised; or within 280 calendar days if Bid Alternate 1 is exercised, which excludes work in Building 455.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be either 336 calendar days or 280 calendar days depending on whether Bid Alternate 1 is exercised, starting from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the VA Medical Center located in Tomah, Wisconsin, specifically in Buildings 406 and 455.
