Background
The VA Northern California Healthcare System is seeking to renovate the operating rooms for a hybrid installation at their facility located at 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655. This project aims to modernize and expand surgical facilities to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency. The contract is set aside exclusively for certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The scope of work includes comprehensive renovation, expansion, and modernization of the existing surgical operation room (OR) area totaling approximately 12,500 square feet. Key tasks include:
- Renovating and upgrading four existing ORs to meet contemporary clinical and safety standards.
- Expanding the surgical suite to include a fifth OR configured as a Hybrid OR suite for advanced procedures.
- Optimizing workflow through strategic layout design while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing VA operations via phased construction.
- Addressing deficiencies in critical systems such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage infrastructure.
- Setting up three temporary OR trailers as interim surgical facilities during renovations, including installation and certification of utilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas).
- Coordinating with third-party inspectors for compliance certification of all systems before use.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 500 calendar days.

The construction projects will be performed at the VA Northern California Health System located at 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655.
