Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for the renovation of the Main Lobby at the Salem VA Medical Center. The project aims to enhance the facility's functionality and aesthetics, aligning with the agency's mission to provide high-quality care to veterans.

This renovation will involve significant updates to the lobby area, which spans 30,000 square feet.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and qualified supervision necessary to perform work as specified in the drawings and specifications for Project 658-24-104. Key tasks include:

- Removal and replacement of ceiling tiles, flooring (ceramic tile, vinyl tile, carpet, rubber at entryway), and baseboards;
- Preparation and repainting of all walls and trim including wallpaper removal;
- Preparation and repainting of columns;
- Removal and replacement of handrails, wall guards, and corner protectors;
- Remodeling five restrooms to meet ABAAS compliance;
- Installation of a wheelchair accessible water bottle-filler chiller type fountain;
- Resealing windows;
- Power washing the exterior structure and repainting facility name;
- Upgrades to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire alarm/sprinkler systems.

Period of Performance
365 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
