Background
The VHA Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MH RRTP) are being centrally located to other campus resources at the Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Montrose, NY campus. This project will entail the full-gut renovation of Building 13, Ward CD, which is the third level of a three-story building. The three-story brick structure was originally built in the 1940s. The intent is to modernize the existing 17,300-square foot floor to include 30 private bedroom/bathroom suites and associated clinical and support spaces to provide specialized care for veterans suffering from Substance Abuse Disorder.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish materials, equipment, personnel and supervision to accomplish the work as described in the contract drawings and specifications specified herein. The scope of work includes a full gut renovation of the 17,300 square foot building, including demolition and removal of debris, asbestos and lead abatement, installation of various wall, floor and ceiling systems, HVAC units, electrical and telecommunication equipment, plumbing piping and fixtures. The contractor shall also complete the commissioning process for all installed systems and provide training on these systems to the VA as designated by contract specifications.

Period of Performance
The Contract Time Period of Performance for construction will be 548 calendar days (18 months) from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) which includes 30 days for contractor closeout.

The place of performance for this contract is VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Montrose, NY located at 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, NY 10548.
