Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the Renovate Audiology project at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans, and this project aims to enhance the facilities available for audiology services. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and other necessary resources to complete the work as specified in the contract documents. The scope includes:

- Renovation of approximately 6,045 square feet in Buildings 10 and 3,600 square feet in Building 136.
- Tasks include demolition and removal of existing structures, hazardous materials removal, concrete and masonry work, steel erection, carpentry, thermal and moisture protection, finishes, booth equipment installation, seismic construction, fire alarm and suppression systems installation, plumbing, HVAC work, electrical systems installation including communications and electronic security systems.
- The project will be executed in multiple phases as outlined in the specifications and drawings.

Period of Performance
The performance period for the Base Bid is 500 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. For Deductive Alternate No. 1 it is 440 calendar days; for Deductive Alternate No. 2 it is 350 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center located at 5500 Armstrong Rd., Battle Creek MI 49037.
