Background
The Dayton VA Medical Center is seeking to replace its aging and unreliable overhead paging system, which serves multiple buildings on the campus. The goal of this contract is to install a new campus-wide paging system that integrates with the existing Cisco environment while ensuring the current system remains operational until the new installation is complete and accepted.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, programming, coordination, testing, training, documentation, and professional services required for the complete removal and replacement of the existing overhead paging system at the Dayton VA Medical Center. This includes:
- Removal of existing components such as head-end equipment, speakers, modules, control units, cabling, and accessories.
- Installation of a new overhead paging system across all identified buildings on campus.
- Installation of field-adjustable speakers in required locations.
- Provision of new head-end equipment including controllers, modules, amplifiers, power supplies, and cabinets.
- Installation of Category 6 cabling for network-connected devices.
- Each speaker must have an independent homerun to designated serving equipment locations without daisy-chaining or series wiring.
- Coordination with existing Cisco VoIP infrastructure and verification of existing conditions prior to installation.
- Submission of various documentation including product data and testing reports for government review.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to complete all work within 120 days from the date of contract award.

Place of Performance
Dayton VA Medical Center campus located at 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with VA security requirements including background checks for personnel accessing sensitive information. A local flash badge with fingerprint check is required for limited access; a Special Agency Check (SAC) or National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI) may be needed based on access duration. Contractors must also provide proof of annual influenza vaccination for staff working on campus. Additionally, contractors must enroll in E-Verify within 30 days post-award and ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations regarding safety and environmental management.
