Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Project Number 636A6-26-102, which involves replacing a condensate leak in Building 2 at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System (VACIHCS) located in Des Moines, Iowa.

This project aims to restore reliable condensate return service across affected areas, ensuring the facility's operational integrity. The solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under Public Law 109-461, emphasizing the VA's commitment to supporting veteran-owned businesses.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace compromised steam condensate piping segments located in the basement of Building 2 at VACIHCS. The work includes:
1. Restoring reliable condensate return service across affected areas as per Section 6: General Requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW).
2. Addressing a leak present in the steam condensate piping routed within trenching beneath linoleum flooring in the basement.
3. Completing on-site phased construction within sixteen (16) continuous weeks unless modified by the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

Period of Performance
120 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
