Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the emergency repair of a fire main leak at the Omaha VA Medical Center. Work Details
The contractor is required to identify the source of a leak on an 8-inch fire main located approximately 5 feet below grade, northwest of Building 9. The work may involve demolition and replacement of Portland Cement Concrete pavement and curbs.

The contractor must conduct a site visit to assess the situation and determine the necessary repairs. Additionally, they are responsible for setting up a project kickoff meeting, providing crane lift plans, and maintaining communication with VA engineering personnel. Compliance with OSHA safety regulations is mandatory, including lockout/tagout procedures for energy sources. The contractor must also ensure that all personnel adhere to VA regulations while on-site.

Period of Performance
