Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Black Hills Health Care System (VABHHCS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the air handling unit serving Ward 1 North at the Hot Springs Campus. The project aims to address the aging HVAC system that has surpassed its expected life cycle, making replacement parts difficult to obtain.

The goal is to enhance the facility's HVAC capabilities, ensuring efficient climate control and compliance with modern standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to complete Project 568A4-23-207, which includes:

- Replacement of the existing air handling unit and all associated mechanical equipment;
- Conversion of equipment to direct digital controls;
- Removal and replacement of ceiling tiles where necessary;
- Replacement of Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes downstream of the new air handling unit;
- Upsize existing electrical panels/breakers and safety switches;
- Installation of ductwork distribution mains.

The project will also include provisions for humidification and dehumidification, as well as accommodations for cold weather. The work must be performed according to the provided construction documents, drawings, and specifications.

Period of Performance
365 Calendar Days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
