Description

The Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave Syracuse, NY 13210, intends to release a request for proposal (RFP) numbered 36C242-24-R-0037 Project No. 528-709 Expand MRI on or about 19 March 2024. Project includes general construction of a building addition of a new MRI expansion of approximately 5,800sf on the Ground Floor level and 5,000sf on the Basement level that will house 2 new MRIs. Expansion will include, but is not limited to the following: new structure, walls, finishes, electrical, lighting, ceilings, flooring, mechanical equipment, HVAC ductwork and piping, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm and windows as well as required medical gas, nurse call, and all necessary appurtenances and healthcare and administrative support required for an active MRI suite. General construction for new MRI expansion will include renovation of Basement and Ground floors of Building 1 located at Syracuse VA Medical Center which includes, but is not limited to, demolition and disposal of existing modular administrative trailers, general construction, site work, demolition, renovation, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, and all other items required by the drawings and specifications. Period of Performance is 120 days for submittals and 430 days for construction for a total period of performance of 550 days. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220. THIS IS 100% set aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) PROCUREMENT. The offeror must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) under the applicable NAICS at time of offer and time of award. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000 The firms are required to self-perform 25% of the work and will be required to show in detail the breakdown to be submitted with the bid. Firms will also be required to supply the EMR rating at time of bid. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. A 20% Bid Bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (https://beta.sam.gov/) contract opportunities. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203
