523A5-19-305 Building 5 Outpatient Mental Health Renovation Boston Healthcare System Brockton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 940 Belmont Street Brockton, MA 02301 Procurement Number: 36C24121R0163 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. A Request for Proposals (RFP) will be posted on or about Aug 01, 2022. The Boston Healthcare System Veterans Affairs Brockton Medical Center, Brockton, Massachusetts, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and supervision necessary to perform work for project 523A5-19-305 Building 5 Outpatient Mental Health Renovation. The general scope of this project is to renovate building 5 mental health. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, renovations, hazardous material abatement, safety, infection control measures, environmental protection, testing laboratory services, temporary signage, waste management, commissioning, demolition, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, metal fabrications, carpentry, roofing, solid surfaces, firestopping, joint sealants, doors and frames, door hardware, glass and glazing, finishes, painting, signage, toilet compartments, fire extinguishers, fire suppression system, plumbing, HVAC, hydronic piping and pumps, Direct-Digital Controls, electrical, lighting and controls, panelboards, communications, security systems including physical access, intrusion detection and video surveillance, fire detection and alarm, water distribution, sanitary sewerage, earthwork, schedule management and quality control. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 and the size standard is $39.5 million. The solicitation is being issued in the best value continuum described in FAR Part 15.101. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
