The Boston Healthcare System Veterans Affairs Brockton Medical Center, Brockton, Massachusetts, has a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and supervision necessary to perform work for project 523A5-19-305 Building 5 Outpatient Mental Health Renovation. The general scope of this project is to renovate building 5 mental health. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, renovations, hazardous material abatement, safety, infection control measures, environmental protection, testing laboratory services, temporary signage, waste management, commissioning, demolition, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, metal fabrications, carpentry, roofing, solid surfaces, firestopping, joint sealants, doors and frames, door hardware, glass and glazing, finishes, painting, signage, toilet compartments, fire extinguishers, fire suppression system, plumbing, HVAC, hydronic piping and pumps, Direct-Digital Controls, electrical, lighting and controls, panelboards, communications, security systems including physical access, intrusion detection and video surveillance, fire detection and alarm, water distribution, sanitary sewerage, earthwork, schedule management and quality control. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 and the size standard is $39.5 million. The solicitation is being issued in the best value continuum described in FAR Part 15.101. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million.
