CON Project 629-20-102 Expansion of Security Cameras at 2400 Canal St   2

Background
The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) is located at 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. The agency has a requirement for the installation of new security cameras to enhance surveillance across its campus. This project aims to upgrade the existing video management system and improve overall security measures.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Installation of 34 new exterior security cameras throughout the campus and replacement of 50 older cameras with new models.
2. Upgrade of the existing NiceVision Video System to the latest version of QOGNIFY Video Management System (QVMS), including data migration from the old platform.
3. Provision of one year of software support for both the existing and new systems starting from the data migration date.
4. Installation of client workstations and servers (up to 10) necessary for hosting the upgraded QVMS.
5. Ensuring that all installed cameras are fully functional, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with technical requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
6. Project management responsibilities including purchasing necessary equipment such as cameras, cabling, and mounts, as well as ensuring proper installation and programming into the existing system.
7. Compliance with installation standards including X-raying wall penetrations prior to drilling, using CAT 6e cabling with signal boosters where necessary, and ensuring all camera views meet VA Police Service requirements.
8. All work must be performed in a clean manner, maintaining quality standards throughout the installation process.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall complete all tasks within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from receipt of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the New Orleans VA Medical Center located at 2400 Canal St., New Orleans, Louisiana, specifically on the exterior of 6 buildings, 4 shotgun houses, 1 parking garage, and various light/camera poles.
