Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the project titled '557-21-103 Correct Critical Roof and Exterior Wall Deficiencies' at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia.

The mission of this contract is to address critical deficiencies in roofing and exterior walls to ensure the safety and integrity of the facilities used by veterans. The goal is to replace approximately 57,130 square feet of roofing and conduct minor exterior wall repairs, complying with all relevant regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide management, supervision, materials, tools, and labor necessary to replace approximately 57,130 square feet of flat roofing and repair 11,342 square feet of slate roof shingles on various buildings.

The work includes:
- Demolition and replacement of existing roofs.
- Necessary plumbing and mechanical adjustments for items protruding through the roof.
- Lightning protection installation, repair, or replacement as per A/E-designed plans and specifications.
- Compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations throughout the project.

The project encompasses roof replacement and minor exterior wall repairs for multiple buildings (Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 25, 26, 27, 29, 41, and 62) as well as various corridor areas and basement walls repairs.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set for 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
All construction activities will be performed at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center located at 1826 Veterans Blvd., Dublin, GA 31021.
