Background
The solicitation is for project 523A4-22-017 Kitchen Site Preparation at the VAMC West Roxbury Campus located at 1400 VFW Pkwy, West Roxbury, MA 02132. The project involves site preparation for new kitchen equipment for Nutrition Food & Services and installation of VA purchased new kitchen equipment as per the VA provided drawings and specifications.

Work Details
The work includes site preparation, installation of new kitchen equipment, coordination drawings, connecting utilities, temporary relocation/protection/removal of existing kitchen equipment, demo of existing utilities as needed, installation of new drain lines, water, gas, electric, and any other utilities to ensure functionality of new kitchen layout. It also involves furnishing and installing electrical-ins to accommodate new kitchen equipment layout as per the electrical coordination drawings provided by the contractor. Additionally, the site prep work includes providing labor and material for new lighting, new ceiling tiles, phasing and scheduling work with VA Engineering to keep the kitchen operational during construction period, providing temporary electric hook up and/or utilities as needed to keep the kitchen equipment functional, card access from the front door entrance to the kitchen, performing all manufacturer recommended tests, commissioning all new and existing equipment, providing training to VA staff for proper operation and function of the equipment, and removing barriers, cleaning, repairing and restoring existing surfaces and finishes to original conditions.
