Background
The contract is for the relocation and renovation of the Women's Health Clinic at Building 12 of the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA. The project is being requested by the Engineering department and is expected to last for 365 calendar days.

Work Details
The contractor is required to renovate approximately 18,565 square feet of space in and around building 12 to create a new Women’s Health Clinic. This includes tasks such as creating a new reception area, locker rooms, offices, conference/lounge, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference room, bathrooms, installing an elevator and ramp, and removing and replacing all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems. Additionally, the sidewalk and parking lot modifications are also part of the scope of work.

The work encompasses general construction, demolition of existing interior construction (including utilities and hazmat abatement), concrete work, ceilings, casework, carpentry, partitions, doors, windows, louvers, finishes, miscellaneous specialties, exterior cladding (brick infill), mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, telephone and data cabling, security systems, equipment installation, site utilities (HVAC piping), mechanical equipment pads for site work purposes, landscaping (patch existing), and other related items.

Period of Performance
The construction schedule is 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed and shall be performed in several phases as indicated in the Contract Documents.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Building 12 of the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA.
