Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a contract for tuckpointing services at the Wilmington VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to repair and replace deteriorated masonry and caulking systems on the exterior of all buildings throughout the campus, ensuring a fully functional operating system for the medical center. This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside acquisition.

Work Details
The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for tuckpointing at the Wilmington, DE VAMC. Specific tasks include:

1) Professional construction services including site investigation (civil, architectural, demolition, and construction);

2) Installation of masonry and caulking systems;

3) Demolition work such as saw cutting and excavation;

4) Site work including grading, reconfiguration of sidewalks, retaining walls, stormwater management, and landscaping while maintaining ADA compliance;

5) General construction and architectural repairs to the exterior envelope of buildings. The contractor must also ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 270 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
