Background
The project is initiated by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and focuses on infrastructure improvements at various buildings in Cheyenne, WY. The goal of the contract is to enhance the operational capabilities of the facilities through significant upgrades to electrical systems, HVAC, communication infrastructure, and physical security measures. This initiative aligns with the VA's mission to provide high-quality services to veterans by ensuring that their facilities are modernized and efficient.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

- Electrical upgrades such as panel upgrades and power systems (normal/emergency);
- Bonding;
- Installation of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS);
- Integration with building management systems;
- New and upgraded HVAC systems;
- Reconfiguration, expansion, and renovation of existing spaces including demolition, new construction, and finishes;
- Expansion of space in the Multi-Function Area (MFA) involving demolition, finishes, cable management, and relocation of cabinets;
- Enhancement of communication infrastructure with new data outlets, patch panels, and upgrades to Cat 6A cabling as necessary;
- Physical security upgrades;
- Improvements to the fiber infrastructure backbone across campus buildings;
- Installation of a diversified path to a new data center for wide area network (WAN) connectivity;
- Hazardous material abatement.

The specific buildings involved in this project include Building 1 (Arrowhead, Buffalo, Cowboy, Douglas Fir), Building 4, Building 5, Building 6, Building 7, Building 8, Building 11, Building 12, Building 13, Building 23, Building 45, RRTP Building, and associated site areas.
