Accompanying Amendment 36C25224R0015 - 0002 MULTIPLE AWARD INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) CONTRACTS OSCAR G. JOHNSON VA MEDICAL CENTER, IRON MOUNTAIN, MI I. The following Questions and Answers / Clarifications are the result of bidders request(s) for information: Q5: Ref spec 01 35 26- Can the superintendent perform both roles of superintendent and SSHO? A5: Yes if they are a designated competent person. Q6: Ref drawing C-2- How does the 10 PVC pipe get tied into pump station #2? Can a detail be provided ? What depth does the PVC pipe enter the wet well? A6: Omit 10 PVC portion. Q7: Ref drawing C-2- Is granular fill required under the new concrete sidewalk? If so what depth? A7: Granular sand 12 , see detail. Q8: Ref C2- Will any underground utilities need relocation ? A8: No. Q9: Is there any work pertaining to sections Facility Strom Drainage 221400, Sump Pumps 221429, 221433 Packaged pedestal Drainage Pump Units, and 221436 Packaged submersible other than the 10 PVC for Future use? A9: Those sections are in the index for the specs but not in the specs body. Initially those were left in case any pump work needed to take place. There won t be any work to those subsystems. The 10 PVC portion can be omitted from the project as well. Q10: Key note 2 on drawing C-1 states Light Poles relocated to edge of paved area . I do not see where key note 2 was used on the drawings. Are we relocating light poles? A10: Light poles will not be relocated. They can be left as is. Q11: In the scope of work for the project it states to pave 60 south of employee parking lot. On sheet C-2 is shows a dimension of 64 of new pavement. Please clarify. A11: 64 is the correct dimension. Q12: In past parking lot projects at the facility, it called to under cut existing grade 2 and bring in new granular fill before paving. Is there going to be any additional undercutting needed other than where the existing trees get removed? A12: No, additional undercutting other than where the existing trees are. Q13: Can you please provide a sidewalk detail for the new 200 of sidewalk to be installed? A13: Yes, see attached. General Information: Reporting year 2024 has been removed from the safety record reporting sheet. An error was discovered in the page numbering and Table of Contents on the MATOC SF-1442 package. The updated copy is attached. All questions/requests for clarification regarding this project shall be submitted in writing to the Contract Ricky Bond at ricky.bond@va.gov and Kristi Kluck at kristi.kluck3@va.gov. NO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. NOTE: Proposals are due via email on July 29, 2024 by 16:30 central time. Background
The Project 2024 585 Iron Mountain MATOC is a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for the repair of parking lots at the Iron Mountain VAMC. The primary purpose of the contract is general construction work, including carpentry, asphalt and concrete paving, roofing, excavation, interior renovation, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting and stucco, demolition, masonry, fire protection, telecommunications, HVAC, and other construction-related work.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes repair of parking lots at the Iron Mountain VAMC. The General project descriptions and specifications shall be derived from the statement of work (SOW) of each individual Task Order (TO) that is issued to execute a construction project.

The MATOC base contracts shall not exceed 5 years from the date of award. The maximum contract value for any contract awarded against this MATOC shall not exceed $20 million; the net aggregate value of funding for all task orders and modifications issued against the MATOC acquisition shall not exceed $20 million. Task orders will be issued using the Standard Form (SF) 1442 or other authorized VA forms where appropriate and will be Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) and individually funded.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance for all MATOC base contracts shall not exceed 5 years from the date of award. The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts awarded under this MATOC shall include a 5-year ordering period from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will occur at various locations including Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI; Marquette CBOC in Marquette, MI; Menominee CBOC in Menominee, MI; Rhinelander CBOC in Rhinelander, WI; Sault Ste. Marie CBOC in Sault Ste. Marie, MI; Gladstone CBOC in Gladstone, MI; Ironwood CBOC in Ironwood, MI; Manistique CBOC in Manistique, MI; Hancock CBOC in Hancock, MI.
